I saw this address file from lovelydesign in a magazine about 2 years ago and got seriously wanty over it. After ordering it about 6 months later I realized I would never use a paper address file, I'm way to dependent on my computer so I stuck it on a shelf in the closet where it didn't see light until it almost fell on me when I was rummaging for something else. I was about 3 months pregnant and feeling like I ought to be writing down some of my experiences and the two things just came together.
I have "K" for kicking, "C" for cravings, "N" for names, most are pretty obvious. I loved being able to pull out a card and write something quick, there's no room for writers block on a 3x5 card. There are plenty of blank cards left so I think I'll continue using the file after the baby is born. It might be a bit awkward for him to store when he's older, but hey, then it will be his problem!
We do have a traditional baby book from Chronicle so I'll try to be a good mom and fill that out too. I really liked the Binth baby book but it's expensive and so minimalist/perfect I felt like it would make my handwriting look like crap or vice versa - too much pressure to be tidy!

Awesome idea! This card file is so gorgeous; it was on my want list, too, but my dear husband didn't manage to get it ordered for me before they were sold out. :^) I just love this.
