I'm definitely not wading into the "is it ok to copy vintage textiles" debate, I just want to show what I found.
These little squares are from a lot of vintage textiles I won on Ebay, they were one of my favorite things in the whole box. I thought of course that there would be only a few but it turns out I have about 20, plenty to make something substantial. They're safety pinned together for, um, safety.
Imagine my shock when I spotted this page while flipping through the latest Hancock's catalog. This was about a week after the Heather-Ross-is-a-jerk, Amy-Butler-is-a-copycat scandals hit the blogs. I read some interesting comments and ideas about both but it didn't put me in a swivet as it did for some.
This particular fabric is Nancy Mahoney's Grandma's Garden for P&B, for those interested. I prefer the softer colors in my little squares or I would totally order 6 yards to hoard forever.
